Message definition (Circulatory system ) The general rule is that arteries from the heart branch out into capillaries, which collect into veins leading back to the heart. Portal veins are a slight exception to this. In humans the only significant example is the hepatic portal vein which combines from capillaries around the gastrointestinal tract where the blood absorbs the various products of digestion; rather than leading directly back to the heart, the hepatic portal vein branches into a second capillary system in the liver.
一般的には、心臓から出た動脈は毛細血管に分岐し、その毛細血管が集まって心臓に戻る静脈になる。門脈 はこのわずかな例外である。ヒトの場合、唯一の重要な例は肝門脈 であり、血液が消化産物を吸収する消化管 周辺の毛細血管から合流する;
肝門脈は直接心臓に戻るのではなく、肝臓 で第二の毛細血管系に分岐する。
