Catalyzes the reaction: 8-O-methylsterigmatocystin + 2 [reduced NADPH--hemoprotein reductase] + 2 O(2) <=> aflatoxin B + 2 [oxidized NADPH--hemoprotein reductase] + H(2)O + methanol + CO(2). Produces both aflatoxin B(1) and aflatoxin B(2).
