カナダ食品検査庁 動物衛生・生産飼料部門は、Bacillus 培養脱水承認飼料原料をサイレージ 添加物としてSchedule IV-Part 2-Class 8.6に分類し、国際飼料成分番号IFN 8-19-119を付与している。
一方、枯草菌 の生存胞子を含むいくつかの飼料添加物は、欧州食品安全機関 により、動物生産における体重増加のための安全な使用に関して肯定的な評価を受けている。
