フラッシング フラッシング ;短期的な拡張 で、皮膚の色が赤くなる。通常、顔面が侵されるが、反応は頚部および上胸部に及ぶこともある。原因は、プロスタグランジンGD2 （PGD2 ）およびセロトニン の上昇による血管拡張である。潮紅はしばしばヒスタミンが関与すると考えられていたが、ヒスタミンは反応に関与しないことが示されている。潮紅は時に、特に衣服に覆われた部分のチクチク感やかゆみ を伴う。
