Message definition (Discovery and development of gliflozins)
[[Blood glucose]] is freely filtered by the [[Glomerulus (kidney)|glomeruli]] and SGLT-1 and SGLT-2 reabsorb glucose in the kidneys and put it back into the circulation cells. SGLT-2 is responsible for 90% of the reabsorption and SGLT-1 for the other 10%.
