Almost all types of non-[[Fish|piscine]] [[seafood]], such as [[shellfish]], [[lobster]], [[shrimp]] or [[crayfish]], are forbidden by Judaism because such animals live in water but do not have both [[Pterygiophore|fins]] and [[Scale (anatomy)|scales]].
