This led to adoption and fusion of European cuisine into Indonesian cuisine. Several Indonesian food can trace its origin from Dutch influence, such as ''kue odading'' that was derived from Dutch ''[[oliebollen]]'', ''[[Semur (Indonesian stew)|semur]]'' from Dutch ''smoor'', ''[[perkedel]]'' from ''[[frikadeller]]'',  ''sop senerek'' from ''[[erwtensoep]]'', ''[[selat solo]]'' (solo salad) from ''holland biefstuk''.

This led to adoption and fusion of European cuisine into Indonesian cuisine.
