Cambodia

In Cambodia, fishcakes are called prohet trei kroeung (ប្រហិតត្រីគ្រឿង, prohet trei krœăng). They are made from whitefish fillets mixed with yellow kroeung and pounded in a mortar and pestle. The mix is shaped into patties or meatballs and deep-fried. They are eaten with a sauce made out of Kampot pepper mixed with lime juice and salt.
