The consumption of rabbit is allowed in Sunni Islam, and is popular in several majority-Sunni countries (e.g. Egypt, where it is a traditional ingredient in ''[[mulukhiya|molokheyya]]''), but it is forbidden in the Ja'fari jurisprudence of [[Twelvers|Twelver]] Shia Islam. |
