Natural TFAs, which include [[conjugated linoleic acid]] (CLA) and [[vaccenic acid]], originate in the [[rumen]] of these animals. CLA has two double bonds, one in the ''cis'' configuration and one in ''trans'', which makes it simultaneously a ''cis''- and a ''trans''-fatty acid.
