There are also dedicated restaurants for ''tteokbokki'', referred to as ''jeukseok tteokbokki'' (impromptu ''tteokbokki''). It is also a popular home dish, as the ''garae-tteok'' can be purchased in pre-packaged, semi-dehydrated form.
