Clean cooking facilities, e.g. cooking facilities that produce less indoor soot, typically use natural gas, [[liquefied petroleum gas]] (both of which consume oxygen and produce carbon-dioxide) or electricity as the energy source; biogas systems are a promising alternative in some contexts.
