Technically &#039;&#039;tumpeng&#039;&#039; refer to the rice cone in the center, while the surrounding various dishes might be taken from any choice of various Indonesian dishes—thus was considered ideal as a national dish that binds the diversity of Indonesia&#039;s various culinary traditions. Subsequently the designation of &#039;&#039;tumpeng&#039;&#039; as the single national dish of Indonesia was considered insufficient to describe the diversity of Indonesian culinary traditions. Later in 2018, the same ministry has chosen another additional 5 national dishes of Indonesia; they are &#039;&#039;[[Soto (food)|soto]]&#039;&#039;, [[satay]], &#039;&#039;[[nasi goreng]]&#039;&#039;, &#039;&#039;[[rendang]]&#039;&#039; and &#039;&#039;gado-gado&#039;&#039;.</div>
